The Third-Third Expressive
Hi, I’m Terence Quek, Principal Trainer of Right Impact Training.
Do you enjoy being admired by others? Are you happy sharing information about yourself? Do you use lots of gestures when you tell a story?
If you say yes, you are probably Third Third Expressive.
Emergenetics, a science on thinking and behavioural preferences, describes people using four thinking preferences and three behavioural styles. Just so that it is easy to understand and remember, Emergenetics uses thirds to describe behavioural attributes. If you are first third, you prefer to perform gently. If you are third-third, you prefer to perform forcefully.
Your degree of Expressiveness indicates the amount of your participation with others and the world around you. Expressiveness is not what you experience inside, but what you share with the outside.
The Third Third Expressive prefers to express thoughts, feelings and opinions more openly.
If you Third-Third Expressive, you are likely to be outgoing and animated. You openly communicate feelings and start conversations with strangers easily. You learn best by talking and are energized by interacting with others. While people love you for getting things along, you may sometimes come across as being overbearing.
How do we know you are Third Third Expressive? We know because you use lots of facial expressions and gestures.
Knowing your own thinking and behavioural preferences, as well as that of others, allows you to overcome perceptual errors, and helps you build strong relationships.
