Overcoming Challenges

Hi, I’m Terence Quek, Principal Trainer of Right Impact Training.

When your team is faced with a challenge, how do you generate an all-rounded solution?

Here’s a strategy based on the concept of WEteam, or Whole Emergenetics Team.

Emergenetics, a science on thinking and behavioural preferences, describes people using four thinking preferences and three behavioural styles.

A WEteam is a team made up of people representing each of the seven Emergenetics attributes, these are: Analytical, Structural, Social, Conceptual Thinking; Expressive, Assertive and Flexible behaviour.

To generate a Whole Emergenetics solution, you first define the challenge.

Ask the team to use Conceptual Thinking to generate many ideas.

Next, use Analytical Thinking to apply logic and strategy to the proposed solutions and begin to narrow your choices.

Use Structural Thinking to consider how the solutions affect the status quo, and how to get it done.

Bring in Social Thinking to determine how your solutions affect the people.

Finally, ask the team to assess how the solutions affect people who like, and don’t like to be expressive, assertive and flexible.

By now, you would have generated solutions that works for every attribute.

Knowing the principles of Emergenetics allows you to overcome challenges, build better relationships and increase productivity.

MAKING THE RIGHT IMPACT WITH EMERGENETICS

The Emergenetics Profile provides information on four thinking preferences (Analytical, Structural, Social, Conceptual) and three behavioral styles (Expressive, Assertive, Flexibility).

Emergenetics is the result of extensive research involving over 300,000 adults. Based on the latest brain dominance research, this reliable, valid, and proven test provides insight that helps individuals best use their thinking preferences and behavior attributes.
